I am using an Intel(R) 536EPV.92 Modem
The Int String is AT&FQ0V1X4&D2+MS=V22,0
Data Bits 7
Stop Bits 1
Baud 1200
It appears to connect and then hangs up. Any Help would be great

Try this for an init string, with your current settings:
AT&FQ0V1X4&D2+MS=V22,0;+ES=1,0,1
You can also try the following one with a 300 baud setting:
AT&FQ0V1X4&D2+MS=Bell103,0;+ES=1,0,1

Please post the phone number you are using to connect to the carrier. We will give it a test from here.

I can connect from here, so we are back to convincing your modem to work.
When you use the init string posted earlier (ends with +ES=1,0,1), in the dialer's log does it say that the init string was sent successfully. If not, double check the string. Note that all the '0' are zeros.
Also, when on NotePager Pro's main screen, hit <ctrl><alt><d>. This should turn on detailed logging. Then please post the log for the delivery session here.

Everything looks setup correctly, but your modem still isn't communicating very well with the other end. We will now have to start looking for less obvious problems.
What version of Windows are you running?
What is the name of the carrier (we may have another phone number you can try)?
Do you have any other modems you could easily try?

I replied in the previous post but have not heard any answer......should I contact you by phone? Perhaps you could talk me thru some other possible fixes or changes of settings.

Unfortunately we may be running into one of those situations were a modem simply won't talk to a carrier's modem.
One option left that does solve problems like this, is to obtain a newer modem driver from the modem manufacturer. I have seen this solve communication problems with many Conexant modems.
Can you try to get a new driver for your modem?

Options:
1. Buy an external modem from a local store. External modems work fine 99.9% of the them. If it doesn't work, you can return the modem (make sure you buy it from a store that will make this easy to do).
2. If are using NotePager Pro, you can try giving our tech support department a call, although they may not have any better luck if your modem simply isn't going to talk to your carriers modem (we don't offer phone support for NotePager 32).
