Build something that looks/acts like page company TAP number

We have Pagegate email us every 4 hours so we can track/prove that is was up and operational.

What would add to the test is proof that it could dial out and send a TAP message to something - this "thing" is what I'd like create - something other than a pager since we'd fill the capacity of the pager in less than a week of tests.

I have a modem and a PC... now the question is what PC application can I get that will look like a TAP number to a PageGate call, and store the periodic "test pages".

The application would be installed on some multi-purpose PC and only needs to be as bullet proof as Windows - in other words, cheap and dirty is the best

The HARD way (or - more $$$) - buy the GetTAP module and plug it into a modem

The EASY way: Buy the standalone Notepager PRO ($29.95) and install it on any PC on the network that can see a PageGate Monitor. One of the Monitor options is interfacing with Notepager Pro to alert on events or lockups
