Disable an ID

Does anyone know how to disable an ID without actually Deleting it? I have several users that are on old Pagers that are no longer supported, they will be moving to Cell phones but in the mean time each page that goes out bounces back. We've noted the problem and are in the process of providing the new Equipment, so I do not want to delete the ID just disable them temporarily

We have this issue from time to time. You have a couple of options:
1) Simply change the "display" name to "VACANT" or something similar - people will not select the recipient (assuming, of course, you're using GUI Client"
2) Remove that particular recipient from any groups it is a member of
3) Change the delivery type to SMTP and set the ID to the person's e-mail.

Thank you very much that's what I was looking for. I have opted for the Email option as that info is still correct and they can at least get some form of notification in the mean time.
