I am a Systems Specialist for a HVAC DDC Controls Company We are the Alerton Reps for the S.W. United States. We set up our systems (Envision for IBEX & Envision for BACtalk) to Dial Out Alarms; typically to an Alphanumeric Pager but most recently via Email.

The problem is that not all of my customers have or can put their Building EMS on their Network (I know, I know- It's 2010) and the Verison of Envision for IBEX I am currently working with cannot send Emails. Also, Alerton's Systems work on the V.92 Technology and cannot typically transmit over 1200 BAUD.

I would like to know is there a way to use a TAP to dial out but then send the Text/Alpha Message via Email to a Sprint Smart Phone (BlackBerry)?

If so what is the exact dialing string?

You can configure PageGate with the OPTIONAL getTAP module. This can RECEIVE the TAP message and then send it out to the device via SNPP, WCTP, SMTP (Email), or several other formats. This is a common solution for monitoring in NOC's, Public Safety Dispatch centers, and Call Centers.
