From the messaging GURU at Sprint/NexTel Engineering:
"We moved the SNPP gateways to a new platform early this week.
One-Way SMS users will notice that messages are now preceded with the gateway identifier "SNPPRcv" at the beginning of each message and that long messages are now cut off at 132 characters.
This will be a permanent change unless there is a great enough demand from the user base to change the configuration back to what we had before. User's experiencing truncated messages due to this change should report the issue to our care group, they can log the complaint but there will be no immediate resolution.
Customers experiencing lost or delayed messages through the SNPP gateways should report the problem immediately. We changed our gateways and have been monitoring them for any abnormalities due to the conversion. We hope we did not miss anything but no matter what we do for stress testing the customers always mange to ferret out something we missed."_________________
