USCellular connection - first time

Hi. This is my first time doing a setup like this.

I have a Multitech MT5634ZPX-PCI modem connected to a Telular Phonecell SX5T cell modem. The cell modem was setup by US Cellular.

I assume the two don't want to talk to each other because of the garbage I get from USCellular and my modem sending a CR.

I have it at 1200,even,7,1 with "auto" for init string.

Any suggestions?

Well, you were right where it concerns the 'garbage' characters you're seeing there in the log. The two modems don't want to talk back and forth, now it's just a matter of figuring out why.

Try setting the baud rate to 9600 and reset the init string to auto.

If that doesn't work, reset the baud rate to 300 and the init string to auto.
