I have setup PageGate with the GUIWeb interface on an IIS server. Per the suggestion in another thread, I have moved the PageGate database to a separate directory, and shared that with NTFS modify permissions for a select group of individuals. My question is, will anyone who has PGAdmin installed be able to change settings above Recipients (i.e. Program, Database, Scheduler, etc.)? I opened the Pagegate.mdb in Access, and it looks like all those options are also in the database. I'm afraid that if I install PGAdmin too widely, even though the database is on a permissions-controlled share someone will screw up the configuration of the program. However, I want to delegate the adding of Recipients. Please offer your best advise. Thanks!

There are a few more steps you can take to make PageGate more secure.

1. In PG Admin go to 'Database' -> 'Password Protect'. This will enable you to add a password to the database. If someone tries to open it up with MS Access, the password will be required. However, after setting the password, you will need to go to each workstation that is running the PageGate GUI Client (if you have any), and input the password once.

2. In PG Admin go to 'Program' -> 'Password Protect'. Here you can set four different levels of passwords. For example, if someone starts PG Admin and supplys the 'Admin Password', they will be able to maintain recipients ang groups, but won't be able to change dialer or other global PageGate settings.
