Hello,

I am testing the PageGate v5 before integrating v4 to v5, and got some questions.


1. Are there any changes in the MSAccess database schema?
And can I just use the current pagegate.mdb file for the version 5?
I don't want to reenter all the users and carriers and so on.

2. The new monitoring features in PageGate look really beneficial for us. Should we purchase NotePager Pro in order to use the new features such as being notified when a malfunction occurred?

Yes. There have been modifications made to the users, recipients, carriers, and messages table, as well as entirely new tables.

Yes, you can convert the database from the version 4 to the version 5 format. The first time you run the PageGate 5 Admin, it will run a conversion process for you.

That would be my recommendation. The PageGate version 5 Monitor can tie directly into NotePager Pro so that NotePager Pro can send alerts when a certain set of criteria is met for PageGate.

One more quick question, should I purchase 'Archive Manager' version of PG admin? Or does it come with the PageGate v5?

If I have to purchase it, how much is it?

The Archive capability in the PageGate Admin module is included with PageGate v5, and does not need to be purchased.
