Judging from the errors you're getting, it looks like you have the ports required to use the online protocols blocked. Try running this connection test:

1) Go to Start - Run, in Windows.

2) Type in the following and click OK: command

3) Type in the following and hit enter:

telnet snpp.att.net 444

Now, if port 444 is open, it should come back with a "220" response but if port 444 is closed, it'll tell you that it couldn't establish a connection to the host on port 444.

Naturally, if port 444 is closed, you'll need to open it in order to be able to use the SNPP protocol.

Also, run this test:

1) Go to Start - Run, in Windows.

2) Type in the following and click OK: command

3) Type in the following and hit enter:

telnet page.att.net 25

That tests the SMTP port, port 25. Now, SMTP is unique among the protocols. You don't necessarily HAVE to have port 25 open. If port 25 is closed, that means that all SMTP traffic on your network is routed through a relay server. If you find out what that relay server is, you can configure PageGate to use it.

Thanks.

For the SNPP, it looks like our firewall may be blocking traffic from that port. Pretty ironic, huh? I've filed a ticket to get it opened.

For the SMTP, our virus scan program was blocking the traffic. I was able to send a page using SMTP after turning it off.

Aah corporate life...

One more thing, are the web script and command-line utilities available for trial?
