GetTap Not Working

I am trying to setup a new GetTap connection and am not having any luck. PageGate seems to be sending out "ID=" and the paging system is responding with pipes. I've double checked the settings, and they are correct (9600 7-E-1). The log is attached, below. Can anyone help?

A few questions.

First, how do you have the GetTAP Module configured?

Second, IS the paging terminal dialing into the PageGate system or is it communicating via Serial cable?

GetTap is connected to two systems using a software serial splitter program. One system works fine, the other I'm trying to add now without any success. Both systems are connected to PageGate via direct serial cable.

P.S. - when connecting via hyperterm I do not get an "ID=" after hitting the enter key...does PageGate use TAP 1.8 (fully compliant)? How many carriage returns is PageGate expecting?

Wait, if you're not getting an ID=, then the connection isn't being made. Any time you pass a carriage return, you should get that ID=.

You mentioned that this was working for one system but not this one, have you verified the serial port settings in the dialers and made sure that the init string is: direct ?

Thanks for the info - it was a baud rate issue after all. Both systems work fine now.
