I just got notepager pro and I am trying to finish setting it up so I can practice using it. The problem is I can't find my DNS when I use the directions for finding windows XP in the command area but I cant figure out how to get that straght line that says all you have to do is hit shift backslash. I keep getting to lines split in the middle instead of one straight line, so when I hit enter to find my DNS it says the code is wrong is there another way to find my DNS on my computer or how I can get that straight line to complete the right code.

Thanks,
Manny

Manny,

There are really three (simple) ways to find out what your DNS entries are if you're running Windows XP.

The first would be to contact your ISP and ask them.

The second would be to do the following:

1) Go to Start and click on Run.

2) In the the Run dialog, type: command

3) Click OK.

4) When the command prompt comes up, type in this exact line:
ipconfig /all

5) Hit enter.

The very last line in the string of information that comes up will be your DNS entries.

The third way to find out what your DNS entries are is to do this:

1) Go to Start and click on Control Panel.

2) In the Control Panel, you want to Switch to Classic View (if you don't currently have it in Classic view)

3) Once in classic view, double click on Network connections.

4) Double click on Local Area Connection.

5) Click on the Support Tab.

6) Click on the Details buttons.

When you click on the details button, in the box that pops up, you should see your DNS Entries.
