Yes, a separate machine with an installed modem can run a dialer.
Install "PageGate Server" on the machine with a modem (lets call it "MACHINE B").
When prompted for the setup information, you should point the "Program File Directory" path to the folder on "MACHINE B", where you have just installed PageGate Server (the default is C:\Program Files\PageGate\).
The "Database Directory" should point to the folder (either using a Mapped Drive or UNC) where the original PageGate database resides.
We recommend that the "Log Directory" also be a folder on "MACHINE B", but you can point it to another folder on the network if you wish (again, using a Mapped Drive or UNC).
Under the "Run on this Server" section, select only the dialer that you plan on running on "MACHINE B".
If you are licensed for only one dialer, you will need to disable "Dialer 1" on the other machine.
***** You CANNOT run multiple instances of "Dialer 1" ******.
If you are licensed for multiple dialers, "Dialer 1" can continue to run on the original computer, and "Dialer 2" can be run on "MACHINE B". |
