|
|
Hi,
We have PG V4 with 5000 licences. The function Forward To (Email) is not working, I see nothing in the logs.
But, I'm able to send emails if I set a recipient as email only.
So I guess the setting are Ok.
Second problem: If I add a postmaster PG Admin doesn't keep the setting.
Thanks

Message forwarding for recipients will only work if you are licensed for, and have GetMail enabled and running. |

Is GetMail enabled for those Groups or Recipients that you are trying to forward messages for?
PageGate forwards messages through the SMTP engine so you should check your "SMTPout.log".
Are there any entries for the delivery (forwarding) attempts? |

That's what bug's me. It don'T even generate a SMTPout.log
The Get mail service is running I'm able to send mail to a (mail) recipient but it's not forwarding anything.
By the way it's on Win2003 server with admin rights

It could be that the Microsoft SMTP Service is running, preventing the PageGate mail server from starting and controlling port 25.
Check in the 2003 Services Management Console. Is Microsoft's SMTP startup type set to "Automatic"? If so, set it to "Disabled".
Then stop and start GetMail. |

It seems that PageGate admin isn't not working completely as a Windows NT services.
I check the box, Run as application and all the unsent email were sent right away.
Pagegate is running on a Windows 2003 server and we're using exchange 5.5
Hope it's going to be fixed in a future release

Many customers do have PageGate running as a Service on Win2003 without problems.

Per email from customer, he switched "Run Style" via PageGate Admin.
PageGate loaded into services and is runing correctly now. |
