Users say comments are all going to 1 person.
I believe they mean "replies" but not sure how the reply function works. We use email to text almost exclusively.
I just purchased and upgraded to version 8.4 and migrated from v5. Everything else seems to be working.

Found they normally get replies in their email. users are setup to %username% then @ourdomain.com
Seems this part is working well and I have logged in with administrator so I get the email of administrator@mydomain.com and I have that assigned as an alias to my account.
I get the text ok but when I reply back it does not come into my mailbox. Did the database restore and upgrade from the old server which is what support told me to do. Not sure what would be different. Also the ip address of the server is the same as the old one.

Just to double check, is the value actually "mydomain.com" or does it display your email domain? |

Sorry! Yes it does show the correct domain. Hiding our real domain.
When i receive the text it comes in correctly. I reply back and it does not make it to my email. Trying to validate if the one user is really getting them all.

Excellent, I just wanted to double check to make sure the address was showing up properly on the device.
Unfortunately, PageGate doesn't have any control over the ability of the phone to reply to messages, all it can really do is provide the correct address for the reply to go to. |

Ok so i lied. I see instead of coming in as the email it is coming in as a short number like an ATT would example (410) 100-027. So when replying back it replies back to the number and not the email.
How do i get that to come through as email?

Ah, that's controlled by which host you deliver your messages through.
txt.att.net doesn't retain sender information.
mms.att.net does.
So, you'll want to update your AT&T carrier's "carrier domain" field to say mms.att.net
If you have the address specified in the recipient settings, you'll need to update it there as well. |
