Hi

Just a few questions. When updating the recipients on notepager pro v5. Other profiles do not see updated recipients. Is this intentional in the design of the program or is there a issue?

Also will database tolerate updates by simply replacing the existing database. This worked in the older versions just fine

Thanks!

Since it sounds like you want all users to share a common database, try this:
1) Run NotePager Pro under a profile that has the setup that all users should use.

2) Go to Help - Folders.

3) Make a note of the Global Database directory.

4) Close NotePager Pro.

5) In Windows, browse in to the Global Database directory.

6) Make a copy of the file npp.mdb and paste it on to your desktop for easy reference later.

7) Copy the files you downloaded in step 1 in to the NotePager Pro program directory.

7a) When prompted, you do want to overwrite the existing files.

8) On your desktop, right click on the shortcut for NotePager Pro and select Properties.

9) In the "Target" field, add /localdb to the end of the path.
For example:
c:\Program Files (x86)\NotePage\NotePager Pro\npp.exe /localdb

10) Click on OK.

11) Run NotePager Pro.

11a) If you're prompted by a Windows File Security warning, uncheck the "Ask me every time" option and select Run.

12) Once NotePager Pro runs, it will inform you that the database directory has changed and that the program must be restarted. Click on OK.

13) Close NotePager Pro.

14) Copy the npp.mdb you made in step 6 in to the GlobalDB sub-directory of the NotePager Pro program directory. For example, if you have NotePager Pro installed to the default location, you would copy the file in to c:\Program Files (x86)\NotePage\NotePager Pro\GlobalDB\

14a) When it asks if you want to overwrite the file, say yes.

The last thing you'll want to do is make sure that you set the /localdb flag on every shortcut to NotePager Pro under every user profile that logs on to that system. If you don't set this property value, the program may not reference the appropriate settings to let the automatic integration function properly.
