What method of delivery are you using to send your messages?

When a recipient receives an SMTP message, any reply they send should be delivered to the sender's address you have specified, though that depends on which interfaces you're using to send your messages.

Which interface(s) are you using?

Just to test, if you would, try creating a recipient tied to a regular email address, then send that recipient a message using the same method you've been using previously. Once that message is received, try replying to the email and let us know if that message is received?

This was in another email in the folder if this helps

Interesting, that indicates there's an issue with the other destination replying. Just to pin it down, what's trying to send the original replies?

No one is trying to respond, the problem falls when I send an email to page gate to distribute the notification.

Oh! Apologies, I've been thinking you were trying to send SMTP messages from PageGate. Based on what you've described, it sounds like you're trying to use GetMail to receive an email so PageGate can send that out to your recipients and groups.

GetMail allows PageGate to receive email/SMTP messages in one of two ways:

• Domain/sub-domain hosting
The best method of email integration is to have PageGate host a sub-domain off of your existing domain. To do this, you'll want to talk to your mail server administrator and ask them to create this sub-domain for you, then redirect the MX record for that sub-domain to the internal IP address of the PageGate server.

For example, let's say that you have an email domain of whatever.com (and that your email addresses are something@whatever.com). You could have messaging.whatever.com created and redirected to PageGate's IP. As soon as you do, every recipient and group in the program becomes a valid email address.

So, let's say that we have a recipient called techs and we have GetMail configured to use messaging.whatever.com. You could send an email to techs@messaging.whatever.com and that email would come in to PageGate, then get processed as an outbound message for the recipient or group named techs.

• POP Mailbox
If your mail server supports POP mailboxes, you can configure GetMail to periodically check those email addresses, then read in any email waiting in the mailbox and deliver that traffic to a recipient or group of your specification. To use our earlier example, let's say we have a group called 'techs'. We could have the POP mailbox techs@yourdomainhere.com, then configure the 'techs' group in PageGate to periodically check that email address. If any mail is found, it is collected and delivered to the members of the techs group.
