Has anyone else moved their PageGate to the Southern Software CAD? If so, did you lose the ability to use the PageGate client?
We are using PageGate verson 7.

You don't lose the ability to use the PageGate Client, no.
Southern Software CAD integrates directly with the PageGate Database, so it doesn't use any of the input interfaces (GetAscii, GetMail, GetWeb, GUI Clientetc) but that doesn't prevent any of the input interfaces from running. |

So if I were to enable the GUI Clientetc from the PageGate Admin, I would be able to use the client from non-CAD machines?
Do you think it would interfere with the CAD interface if I did that?

| Assuming you're licensed for the GUI Client, you could definitely do that and it wouldn't interfere with the CAD interface at all. |

Southern Software integrates directly with PageGate's database, so in the process of upgrading PageGate to the latest version, you'll need to touch base with Southern Software so they can update their integration for the new version's database format.
I would recommend reaching out to them directly as Southern Software is a reseller of ours and should be able to assist you. |

Since you're upgrading - make sure to go to v8 - there are changes from 7 to 8 that Southern will have to address as well_________________ Aaron D. Osgood
