Dear Support,
Do You have (and can share with me) any data about limits of NotePager Pro in mean of registered receivers, messages sent (total or per day/month)?
As our system grows those numbers would also grow and we would like to do some "Capacity Planning".

Those limits largely depend on what your method of delivery is.
These protocols usually negotiate one message every 2 or 3 seconds: GSM-AT, SNPP, WCTP
These protocols usually negotiate one message every 3 to 5 seconds (average 4): SMTP
These protocols usually negotiate one message every 5+ seconds: TAP, Fax, TONE, UCP
So, let's say that you wanted to deliver 400 SMTP based messages.
At a delivery rate of 1 message every 4 seconds, it would take approximately 1600 seconds (or 26.66 minutes) for a NotePager Pro connector to deliver all 400 messages.
This may also be when you want to upgrade to PageGate. NotePager Pro only has a single connection engine, so it's only capable of one protocol negotiation sequence at a time. PageGate, on the other hand, has support for up to 16 connection engines.
To use our earlier example, with PageGate, if you had two connectors, that would take approximately 800 seconds (13.33 minutes), if you had three, it would take approximately 533 seconds (8.88 minutes) and so on. |
