I am trying to install PageGate in my datacenter and the documentation says we can use UNC paths for the directory. I however am unable to specify either UNC paths or mapped drives and when I click on the ... i only see the C: drive folders. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can rectify this?
thx very much,

Which component of PageGate are you attempting to use the UNC paths with and for which directories? |

Just to clarify, is the issue you're running in to that you cannot specify a UNC or mapped drive association in the Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings section of the PageGate Admin? |

That is correct. When I specify a good UNC path and then enable it, it throws the error:
Unable to create GetAscii bad directory.

That message is indicating that you may not have read/write/modify permissions on the shared path. Though, occasionally, I have seen instances where the directory creation routine is denied the ability to do what it needs.
The first thing I'd recommend is checking the permissions of the share on the host system to make sure that you have read/write/modify permissions.
If you do, what you may want to do is browse to that UNC path in the Windows Explorer, then create three directories named good, bad and process, then try to specify the path and enable the GetAscii module. |
