I am unable to install pagegate Admin. When I install using th pgsetup.exe I accept the license agreement....the destination folder is c:\programfiles\pagegate admin so I accept that and during the install I get an Error...."The file c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\DAO\dao360.dll" could not be opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory When I click ok the install process disappears. When I go to Program files\pagegate I see the folder pagegate Admin and within that I see PGAdmin.exe...It opens but when I try to add the database directory I get message "You don't have sufficient rights to save changes to this screen"
Anyone else get this and if so, how can I get admin to work on my windows 7 pc Thanks

From context, it looks like you're trying to install the PageGate version 5 Workstation Admin on your workstation. As a sidenote, while version 5 could be installed on Windows 7, that version is not fully compatible with 64-bit operating systems, so you'll need to use a special set of steps to do the installation.

1) Right click on the installation file, select "Run As Administrator"

1a) If you're prompted by the UAC, allow the process to continue.

2) Click on "Install Additional PG Admin"

3) Click on Next.

4) When prompted for the directory, click on Browse.

4a) Change the installation directory to: c:\PageGate Admin\

4b) Click on OK.

5) Click on Next until the installation completes.

6) Click on Finish.

7) The first time you run the Additional PG Admin on your workstation, right click on the shortcut and left click on "Run As Administrator"

7a) If prompted by the UAC, allow the process to continue.

Also, we would highly recommend upgrading to PageGate version 7 for long term stability purposes.

Hmm... that error is a permissions issue. Are you logged in to Windows as an Administrator?

If you would, try this for me:

1) Open a Command Prompt in Windows.

2) Type the following commands and hit enter after each:

c:
cd\
cd progra~1
cd common~1
cd micros~1
cd dao

3) That should take you to the c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\DAO\ directory. Once there, issue this command and hit enter:

regsvr32 dao360.dll

If it succeeded, try to launch the PageGate Admin and let us know what happens. If it didn't succeed, let us know.

OK, so I ran admin from program files and it worked regardless of the install error.

Thank you for all your help
