PageGate Testing with Huawei E3131 3g Modem

Hi,

I have followed various threads to get the software working to no avail.

I have a Huawei E3131 3G modem.

I have also seen and tried Des comments here http://mindofdes.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/pagegate-and-sms-messaging-using-usb3g.html

All I get back in the log for sending a message is DSFLOWRPT.

So I have a 3G Modem - currently says COM5, 3G PC UI Interface - COM4 and 3G app at COM3.

You should DEACTIVATE the 3G access - SMS traffic is NOT "data" in the eyes of the cellular carriers - SMS traffic rides on the dedicated control channel

Thanks, but how can I do this now I have 'switched' it to serial mode? or do I have to reset the dongle fully.

thanks, "liberated" a SIM from an old phone at work and presto! works like a dream, just need to setup Orion NPM alerts to it now :)
