With certain Conexant Chipset based modems, some of the AT commands format things in a method that the AT&T TAP system really doesn't like. So, in the init string field, change this:

AT&FQ0V1X4&D2N0+MS=V22,0

to this:
AT&FQ0V1X4&D2+MS=V22

You can either copy and paste that in the new string or edit it manually.

Also, in the settings of your recipient, make sure that there are no spaces or dashes in the ID/PIN field. So, change this:
XXX-XXX-XXXX

to this:
XXXXXXXXXX

Oh, also, in the settings of the Recipient, make sure that Alpha is checked. If Alpha is unchecked, that tells the program that the device is a numeric only device and can only receive numbers... which is certainly not the case for a cel phone.

Strange I changed all the settings and still getting an error. We are trying to use a modem on a line that has a dialing out prefix. Its just hit 9 to dial out, could that be interfering? When you go to control panel click on phone and modem it has dialing rules. Says to access an outside line dial 9. Could this be interfering with the setting in NotePager pro that has a spot for dialing prefix.
Thanks for you help,
Dillon

I didn't originally notice this. The TAP number you want to use for AT&T is: 18009094602

I've had several clients that have been completely unable to use the 4089612819 terminal before. Try it with the updated number and let's see if it goes through.

Thank you so much! That is the phone number I got on your website to use. Can you please send me the Verizon number too?

Again Thank you,

Well, some clients can use the 4089612819 number, some can't. It entirely depends on what your make and model of modem are and whether or not it can properly handshake with the receiving terminal. Yours isn't, so the 18009094602 number is the best to use in this case.

As for Verizon, you'll want to use: 18668230501
