im trying to make an alert escalation and one of them is an outgoing call.

BUT, i only get 1 (one) outgoing signal, then my modem hangs up , no errors. i really would like it to keep ringing to someone answers.

is that possible ?

im using notepager pro and i have setup a carrier with the following:
carrier name: RING
protocol: tone
init string: at6s7=5
max chars: 10
wait string: ,,

outgoing call log:

Peter,

Are you trying to deliver a page or SMS message? Or do you want the program to dial a phone number and deliver a series of tones?

Peter,

If I correctly understand what you're referring to, the program doesn't actually have a way to dial until someone answers. It can dial a number but if nothing answers after a few rings, the program will hang up as it assumes that it won't receive a response.

okey, now its "a quarter" of a signal ...really short almost nothing , the ath0 is really quick ...

can i use the "wait string" for something useful (in the edit carrier menu) for this ?

Right, the Wait String is for increasing tha mount of time the program waits before transmitting the first tone. Try putting an extra , or two in the wait string and let's see if that helps.
