Hi all,
I am Jiger.
Well i am using the Solarwinds NPM S/W from some time, but now i want that the Alerts which Solarwinds sends should be sent through a GSM Modem.
For this i was being suggested the PageGate Software; But my necessity is that the PageGate S/W should be installed on a standalone Linux/Unix machine which should be able to fetch the Alerts from Solarwinds S/W installed on a Standalone Windows machine & then send it using a GSM modem located at my site.
Kindly tell me the Step by Step procedure for the same.

| PageGate does support using GSM phones and modems for sending out text messages. However, PageGate only runs on Windows based computers. We don't have a *nix version available. |

Hi, I´m Daphne,
I download the trial of Notepager but when i try to add a carrier, put me this erros message:
Error#13: type mismatch in procedure: add_carrier load
What it means?

| Does that error show up every time you try to add a carrier in to the program? What protocol did you try setting the carrier to? |

| I tried to set the SMTP protocol. Sorry, I´m new in this, can you tell me what are the hardware requirements that are needed so Notepager can send sms to my mobil, please? Thank you ans excuse the ignorance of the subject XD

The question is, are you trying to send pages to pagers, SMS to cel phones or email to email addresses? |
