|
|
I started receiving the "3072 Expression too complex in Procedure: check_for_messages" error last week. I wiped everything and started fresh. This cured the problem. It has risen again. I had to do the same thing to fix it. Now, on Monday, it happened again. I am downloading the version off of the website to install as was suggested in an earlier post, but I have installed off of the disc that was just mailed to me... what is the difference? I have this program on 2 different PCs in 2 different locations... only one is doing this. Do I need to install over the other one to prevent this from occurring, or should I leave well enough alone?

Which interface is this occurring in? GetMail? GetWeb?
It sounds as though the particular Interface is having difficulty
processing a message file. Removal or renaming the message file's
extension (recommended) will allow the interface to proceed with
processing the remaining messages.
The directions for the removal / renaming are dependent on the
Interface.
Also, please check the file versions of "PGDial1.exe" and
"PGSched.exe". Let us know before you perform a reinstall. |

The interface is GETASCII. I am generating a .txt file to the specified "pages" directory and I have pagegate polling that directory every 5 seconds to see if there is a new alarm.txt file generated. Unfortunately the PC that this software resides on is a 250 mile round trip with no remote PC access... I've made it 3 times now correcting the problem, so getting the info for you before I reinstall will be a problem... I only want to return to the jobsite one final time to fix it. I will install it on my pc and find out the info and post before I return to reinstall.
Thanks
Ed

I think the key is to get a copy of the "alarm.txt" when this happens.
I am sure that there is something in the text of the file that is causing this error, but until we can see what it is, there is no sure way of resolving it.
You could try using the latest GetAscii executable, though I cannot guarantee that it will solve the issue.
You can download the latest GetAscii executable (PGGAscii.exe) from here:
http://www.notepage.net/support/pggascii.zip
Replace the existing one with the zipped copy that you download. |
