PageGate software works with Windows 2008 32 bit and 64 bit. We are working on fixing two bugs with the GetAscii and GetMail Interfaces.

Due to 2008's UAC security features, use the Vista instructions at http://www.notepage.net/pagegate-5-vista.htm

Download a free trial of PageGate software at http://www.notepage.net/software.htm

What is the bug with the GetMail interface? Has it been fixed yet? I am about to migrate my v4 to v5 on a new 2008 server and want to know if it is a minor bug or not because we rely heavily on the GetMail interface. Since 2008 64bit works, does 2008R2 work also?

Thanks!

The underlying bugs with the GetMail interface in Server 2008 (32 and 64 bit) have been fixed and are no longer an issue. The only outstanding issue we have is with Server 2008 64-bit (not 32-bit) and that's the command line interface for the GetAscii module. We're working on coding a 64-bit compatible command line interface.

Hi,

Just to be clear, the GetAscii module in PageGate Server 5.x currently works on Windows 2008 32 bit but does not work on Windows 2008 64 bit?

Do you have an estimate as regards to when the 64-bit compatible CLI will be ready?

Regards,
Rory

Correct, it is fully functional in the 32-bit version but we don't currently have a CLI executable that will work in the 64-bit version. Unfortunately, I haven't been given a time table for the new CLI Executable.

Yes, this has been resolved. The sendpage32.exe command line executable can be used in 64-bit operating systems.
