That really depends. If you go to the Advanced sub-section of your Sprint carrier and you have the information they've given to you typed exactly as they sent it to you, they should be accepting the logon attempt. From the log, they aren't, so you may want to send them that portion of the log file and ask why the logon is being rejected. |

Before you contact them - you may have missed TECH SUPPORT's suggestion to change the host info to" snpp.messaging.sprint.com "
As of their most recent gateway documentation, that is the only officially supported host_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Just to verify:
You are using PageGate v5
Under CARRIER - ADVANCED, you are using LOGINNAME <space> PASSWORD
"name password" - notice no punctuation
Additionally, are you certain that the IP address that Sprint's SNPP host is seeing is the one registered? (no ISP/firewall/network changes recently?)_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

I have both SNPP and WCTP setup with PageGate to send messages to a cell phone but the messages stay in a pending status. Can anyone advise why this may be?

It could be that the connector is offline or that you have a dedicated carrier set. If you go into the PageGate Admin, then go into the Connectors - Connector 1 - Status, does it say it's running?
Also, if you go into the Settings of Connector 1, do you have a Dedicated Carrier set? |

I see dialer1 running for Arch Wireless. All other dialers are stopped. I tried setting these to the connector setting Sprint that I configured and starting it, but it remains stopped. Am I doing something wrong?

Well, you want to make sure the Dedicated Carrier is set to None for the Connector. Beyond that, you shouldn't have to do anything else. |

Oh, I see. I did change dialer1 from Arch to None and see the messages go through. Now there are 4 pending, but I think these are errors. How to I empty the pending?

To clear the pending message queue, go into the PageGate Admin and right click on the Recipients section. Then left click on Cancel Messages and put a check in cancel all pending messages, then click on Apply. |

Wow! I came in here for a completely different reason. I am having bookoo problems with my US Cellular TAP dial-up connection crashing and locking up my entire PG system. US Cellular has like 1 or 2 subscribers on the whole system and the problem got bad enough that I dedicated one of my 2 connectors to my primary carrier so there was no way the dial-ups could lock that one up.
Sure enough, I went in there today and looked, and the dial-up connector was locked up again - it just kept trying to send the same messages over and over, so I came in here to ask if there was a way to purge out all those messages that were stacked up to go out and messing everything up. Lo and Behold I am reading this thread and find the answer to that right off the bat! Cool.
Now if I could just figure out why the dial-up has so many issues. Tech Support already gave me a different phone number to call they said was more stable, and if you ask them about SNPP their eyes glaze over!!

can you send the log for the second connector to support at notepage dot com? I'd really like to have a look at the specific connection sequences that happen... it might help explain why the messages are getting hung in queue to begin with. |
