This syslog server has an option to send directly to notpager pro and it works like a champ. I need something that runs as a service however which moves me to using pagegate. Does notepager pro and pagegate use the same backend communications ability?
In other words will my Kiwi syslog server seemlessly also communicate to pagegate like it does with notepager pro???
If not, what is a recommend way of making these two products interact?
thanks much in advance!
Joe

Integrate Kiwi syslog server with PageGate software using the GetAscii or Commandline/ASCII Interface.
If not already, download a free trial of PageGate software at http://www.notepage.net/software.htm

Joe,
Yes, PageGate can integrate in the same fashion as Notepager Pro. Kiwi pulls the recipient/group list and the executable to pass the messages to from a certain portion of the registry. Both NotePager Pro and PageGate write the same type of values to the registry, so you shouldn't have any issues with integrating Kiwi with PageGate. |

If you would, please email your contact information to support at notepage dot com. There are some things that I'd like to check but they're things that, if done improperly, can actually cause problems in Windows, so I didn't want to post the steps here for fear that someone might destroy their registry by accident. |
