I have a group of about 200 people that use multiple carriers that I would like to send text messages to (usually 2 a week). I would like to send messages to them and I would like them to only receive messages from me (not have their numbers added to a "melting pot" of groups or numbers where anyone with that specific program would be able to contact them). I don't want them to receive advertisements or anything like that. Is there a program that I would be able to use? I don't need to send files or anything like that. Typically brief announcements and reminders.
I would also like to be able to create sub-groups where I would be able to select who to send the messages to.
The programs that are offered here seem to be a computer based program. If someone were to reply to a text message that is sent, what happens? Would the sender be notified of the text? Also, is there a way to remotely access the program or would it only be accessible while at the computer that the program is installed on?

OzCom took the words right out of my mouth. PageGate with a Cellular Modem would be the best solution to use. |

Why PageGate instead of NotePager Pro? Also, with any of these programs is there a per text message fee?

PageGate has fuller and broader support for Cellular Modems. If you're going to be delivering to a variety of carriers and you don't know which phone number is on what carrier, using a Cellular Modem is really the only way to deliver messages.
The programs themselves do not charge per text message. |
