Does anyone have any information regarding snpp.airtouch.com?

I have been trying it for the last few days and it seems to be down.

Thanks in advance.

From what I was told, snpp.airtouch.com is gone. You now have to use snpp.myairmail.com.

Do you happen to know the PIN/ID format? I've tried just about every combination (10-digit ph#, 7-Digit ph #, 7-Digit with 3 0's in front).

Arrghhh!

Please help.

It's a 10 digit pin. If you use pins, you'll have to call Verizon and give them the 7 digit pins and they can tell you what the 1st 3 digits should be. If you use phone numbers, you use the area code and phone number. We use 117, 118, and 159 pin numbers. They reside in the Hartford Connecticut terminal and an 860 "area code" before the pin number.

Not using PIN's here. Trying to send to a Verizon phone by using all 10 digits, when that didn't work I tried the last 7 digits.

It actually connects to the SNPP host, formats & sends the message - then the message gets rejected because the ID/PIN was not accepted. Not of any other combinations.

I believe snpp is only for pagers. For phones, you have to use either TAP or smtp.

Thanks for all the help angusct. You are correct about Verizon's SNPP interface. It is only for their pagers, not their phones.

Currently Verizon only accepts text messages for cell phone via TAP and SMTP.

Can I ask you your source for this? I would love to contact Verizon and ask them if they plan on changing this, and if they do when?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
