Hi,
we have been using pagegate now for approx. a year and we have not had any issues, until this morning. A critical UPS went down in the data centre, and the alert from solarwinds was submitted to pagegate ascii fine. We use a Huawei E3131 USB Modem for sending texts out. There are groups of users setup, and the global group for this alert was chosen which is 18 people. this has worked with no problems in the past. This morning it sent to the first 3 people on the group list, then each msg after that stated ' error sending packet'. The global log states 'PGDial1Failed'. I need to get to the bottom of why these failed to ensure we don't have this issue when another critical piece of equipment fails on the network. Cheers Zem |

Hi,
I have followed various threads to get the software working to no avail. I have a Huawei E3131 3G modem. I have also seen and tried Des comments here http://mindofdes.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/pagegate-and-sms-messaging-using-usb3g.html All I get back in the log for sending a message is DSFLOWRPT. The dongle is setup as here: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/507680-Huawei-HiLink-modems-(E303-E3131-etc-)/page2?s=10970c197f1fc27d6afa930c95b1d028 So I have a 3G Modem - currently says COM5, 3G PC UI Interface - COM4 and 3G app at COM3.
