Hm... looks like it's working now. I could have sworn I started with the '1' in there and at some point in the troubleshooting I removed it.

I'm able to see the modem try to dial out on Connector 1 even without the '1' in there. Something I wasn't seeing last night. Perhaps the restart last night due to Windows updates played a role as well. In any event, thanks for reading and for the reply.

I'm a newbie with this product so please bear with me if I ask stupid questions...

I have a fresh install of PageGate 5.0 and am attemping to send a message by right-clicking inside of teh PageGate Admin on the test recipient I built and selecting "Send Message". This message is going to a Verizon phone via TAP however I cannot seem to get it to work. By using PG Monitor I can see that a message is pending and the "Good" column of the Sched gets incremented by one however nothing ever gets sent. I have verified that the line is good and have dialed the Verizon TAP number using HyperTerminal on com3 and I get data back (garbage data but data nonetheless). I never see any log in the connector I have configured. The only way I know the Scheduler log is:

12/9/2008 6:26:52 PM Message scheduled. Recipient: test_user from:test

My setting for Connector1 are:
Dialer - Connector1
Init String - (auto)
Dialing Prefix - <blank>
Dedicated Carrier - Verizon
Serial Port - 3
Direct Connect - Unchecked

The setting for the Carrier are:
Carrier - Verizon
Protocol - TAP
Phone Number - 8668230501
Baud Rate - 1500
Parity - Even
Data Bits - 7
Stop Bits - 1
Init String - (auto)
Max Chars - 240

All advanced settings for the carrier are left to the default.

The settings for the recipient are:
Full Name - Test User
Recipient - test_user
Enabled Services - GUI Client
Type - Normal
Carrier - Verizon
Failover - (none)
ID/PIN - 909XXXXXXX (there's a real number here obviously)
Max Chars - 240
Notify Code - 999
Other Options Checked - Alpha | Drop non-printable characters

That's all I have configured right now. I'm sure I'm just missing something small and hopefully I can get this resolved quickly.
