| Thank you. We removed the MX record in the DNS and that worked. | |

| Our Pagegate server is currently using the GetMail module for 2 things:
1. Accept emails addressed to a pager (1234567@ourpagegateserver.com). 2. Forward messages sent to certain recipients to external email addresses (message sent to pager 1234567 is forwarded to johndoe@yahoo.com) using the "Forward Copy To" field in the recipient config. We want to turn off part 1 but want to leave part 2 working. If I understand correctly, we can't disable the GetMail module completely, so what would be the correct configuration to make this work (on each recipient and GetMail)? Note: outgoing emails would go through another SMTP server that we have on our network. Thanks in advance. |

| Nevermind. Apparently the database was doing some internal maintenance work as it started (noticed the pagegate.mdb and its backup file changing size). Once this process was finished, the PG Admin interface opened up correctly. | |

| Using Pagegate version 5 under Windows XP. We rebooted the machine after we noticed the GetWeb service was not responding. When we restart the machine and try to open the PG Admin we get the following error message:
PG Admin Fatal Error: Excessive database errors: 3045 Could not use 'C:\PageGateData\Database\pagegate.mdb'; file already in use. in Procedure: main Program Halted Thanks in advance. |

| - Followed the instructions.
- Didn't get any errors when running the command. - Rebooted the system. Upon reboot, the services started properly and functioned correctly, but when I checked the next day, the same thing happened: service was hung since midnight. Also, the Windows Event Viewer keeps showing the same errors. |

| I'm having pretty much the same issue as described in the topic:
Faulting application PGMailServer.exe, version 4.9.1.0, faulting module PGMailServer.exe, version 4.9.1.0, fault address 0x000041fe. On the other topic the poster was advised to upgrade to version 4.0.0.96, but this is the version I'm using already. The machine is Windows XP Professional SP3. Thanks in advance for your help. |

| I see. Knowing that the data store for the application is MS Access, could I then mass-insert all our 3000+ pagers as static recipients into the pagegate database using SQL queries (assuming, of course, that we have purchased an appropriate number of licenses)? | |

| We are a paging company evaluating PageGate as our paging gateway and we want to set up a server with multiple modems that will answer tap calls from various customers. We want these tap calls to go into the PageGate application via the GetTap Interface.
Do you support multiple GetTap Interfaces in a single PageGate Installation? Do I even need multiple GetTap interfaces? Thanks in advance. |

| I am evaluating the PageGate software to use as our gateway for our paging company. I have installed the trial version on a test server and seen the various capabilities that it offers. However, I want to make sure that we are able to do everything we need before buying.
Our scenario: Pages sent to PageGate will be coming from various sources: - Our web site. Through our website front page, users can enter the device PIN and message to send a page (using the Getweb interface) - Via Email. Users can send an email to <PIN>@ourpagingdomain.com to send a page (using the Getmail interface) - Via Modem. Users can connect via dialup to send a page (using the Gettap interface) Each of these methods will generate a paging message to be sent to our paging terminal via TAP using a direct serial connection. I already tried this and it works perfectly. For some particular recipients, these messages should ALSO be sent out to an external email address. For example: a paging message sent to recipient 1111111 will be sent only to the paging terminal while a message sent to recipient 2222222 will be sent to the paging terminal as well as the john@hotmail.com email address. What is the best way to configure this using ad-hoc whenever possible? I know this scenario is easy to configure when all recipients are named, but we have a lot of users, so that's why we want to use ad-hoc as much as possible. Thanks in advance. |
