I have a building control system that will automatically send a numeric page to my pager whenever something in the system goes into alarm. I would like to be able to get rid of the pager and just carry a cell phone.
I thought I would just have the system call my cell ohone upon alarm. When I saw the phone number, I would know it was an alarm on the system. Problem is that our PBX uses FlexPath for outbound traffic so any calls from the plant show up as "unknown". So there is no way to know it is the computer calling. Can any of the Net Page software "read" an alarm page from software on my PC and then dial out a page to my cell phone automatically? Does anyone have any ideas that would help me? Thanks |
