Thank you for the update. This system's PageGate is getting most of the GetAscii messages sent out from an integrated CAD system. They do also use their client workstations to send out individual messages as well. I can let the admin there know that he has to set a static sender on his workstations as well for the individual messaging.
I am migrating them to a new physical server today. I will update you on the status of the static sender after the migration is completed. |

I am not sure I understand "that's the correct behavior". So the does the static entry in the GetAscii interface "not" strip out the user entered SENDER and replace it with the static SENDER? | |

I have set the static sender parameter in the GetAscii interface as "scctxt@co.somerset.nj.us" following the instructions in:
http://www.notepage.net/manuals/pg/v7/server/html/ascsender.htm?zoom_highlightsub=static%2Bsender. However even after I have restarted the PageGate services the outgoing messages still show whatever sender address that was entered by the user. |

I have a client running PageGate version 5.x
When I change the SENDER to a static entry messages continue to go out with whatever SENDER is entered at the time the message is created. I have edited the entry and saved the SENDER as "static". I have stopped and restarted all the PageGate services in Windows. |

We have one customer site were their PageGate database has grown to almost 1GB. I find I can no longer compress and repair the database. periodically PageGate stops functioning and the pending number of pages shows more than 1 million. If I stop all the PageGate services and delete all the queued pages then PageGate can be restarted and will again function properly.
Isn't the database supposed to automatically trim off old data every night? It appears to be set to do so. Best regards, Martin M. Graney Network Manager Queues Enforth Development, Inc. 14 Summer Street 2nd Floor Malden, MA 02148 781-870-1131 mgraney@qed.com |
