I have tyried what you suggest. It doesn't work and the reason seems to be that the email sent to the mail server uses the mail Sent:Mail From:' incorrectly.

If my local domain is 'abc.com', the SENT FROM: is '@abc.com'

Whatever I enter for the local domain has an '@' inserted infront when the message is sent.

I also get ' Received:500 Syntax Error. (Try again using SMTP)^^

I am trying to get NotePager to work without luck. I want to use the internet to send text messages to a cell phone. My carrier is Rogers.
1) which Protocol do I use

I have tried email and smtp and snpp for messaging. smtp was rejectted bu amtp.rogerswireless.data and SNPP would not even connect to the rogers setting Support gives.

I use my 10 digit phonenumber and the '@pcs.rogers.com and I believe that ius correct ( putting a '1' in front of the area code did not work for smtp.
