I am useing the standard templates that came with WebGate.

Yes there is an entry (not an email address) in the local domain space in the Admin Console. Is this where the valid email address has to be?

Thanks
Steve

Using Webgate going to an SMTP recipent, we only recieve when there is a valid email address in the from field. I know that Cingular is making all the final changes on their server today to get everything up and running in Cingular mode. Is this something new, or is this correct? If this is the way that it is going to be is there a way to "hardcode" a valid email address into WebGate so that users don't have to put in a valid email address everytime they use WebGate.

I just looked as well and I can't send from the admin panel without a valid email address. So what am I missing?

Thanks frustrated been working with this for a while now.

Which ports will need to be mapped through a firewall to use webgate?
Port 80 or 8080 or another?

Thanks

I am hopeing that someone can answer this for me. We use PageGate and AVG antivirus system wide. The users are starting to complain that the AVG Anti-virus is taggin every email (which it should I have the email scanner on system wide). At what point is the PageGate system passing it through the SMTP port/service? Is it at the Client side when they press send or at the PageGate Server side of the world?

Thanks
