Hello,
I've just installed a trial of Pagenote to see if I can get it to play with my serial SMS modem. I've set the program up with carrier, connector, recipients etc, but am getting the following when trying to send a test message: 22/03/2016 18:01:20 Start connection to carrier: Vodafone 22/03/2016 18:01:20 Connect using TAP protocol 22/03/2016 18:01:20 Setting communication parameters (1200,n,8,1) 22/03/2016 18:01:20 Connected to carrier 22/03/2016 18:01:20 Waiting for protocol initialization 22/03/2016 18:01:20 Sent:<CR> 22/03/2016 18:01:22 Sent:<CR> 22/03/2016 18:01:25 Sent:<CR> 22/03/2016 18:01:29 Sent:<CR> 22/03/2016 18:01:34 Carrier retry limit reached. Marking pending messages as bad 22/03/2016 18:01:34 FAILED Stn:0 To:oc Frm:+441234567890 Msg:test If I manually try to send an SMS using putty it always fails at the end of the message.. >Test message [CTRL-Z] +CMS error 512 I've verified the SMSC number and compared it to a local Vodafone UK mobile and it's correct. Any ideas? |

Thanks I will do.
I've just realised that NotePager can't run as a background service either. Is that right or am I missing the necessary settings? Thanks |

Thanks for the reply.
That's how I have it setup. Putty can communicate with the modem OK on COM1, but Notepager Pro can't for some reason. |

A slight update....I set the compatibility mode for the installer to be XP+SP2 and it seems to have resolved these OCX record issues.
Now just trying to work my way through getting the software talking to my serial GSM modem. Any tips? |

Hello,
I've installed Notepage Pro onto our new Windows 2012 R2 server but am having a bit of a problem at the moment. It's complaining about an OCX file not being found: 29/06/2015 10:57:07 Dialer Started 29/06/2015 10:57:08 Program Halted. Error# 339 Component 'MSCOMM32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid in Procedure: main I've followed the Win7 64bit install steps and it's installed in the c:\NotePager Pro folder. I've tried running 'regsvr32 mscomm32.ocx' but it complains that the module fails to load. What can I do to resolve this? Thanks |
