Well no, i don't have anything utilizing the COM port. If I had then I would not be able to HyperTerminal it. I have tried to send an SMS with Hyperterminal and it succeeded. :)

Nevertheless this seems to be working fine now. I have manually entered the modem without the wizard.

And btw if anyone else experiences the problem, you should test the modem if it can send SMS with this command:

AT+CMGS="xxxxxxxxx"
SMS Test from modem
<Ctrl+z>

If you get an sms to the number you have entered in the xxxxxx, then your modem is installed successfully :)

I am using a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise edition with SP2.
The modem is attached via a serial port (externally).
The device is connected via COM1 as windows says in Phone and modem options.
The modem we are using is a Wavecom Fastrack Modem M1306B.

Hi all,

I am trying to integrate NotePager Pro along with Solarwinds NPM to send SMS to the mobile devices. The problem I am facing is that NotePager cannot Communicate with the modem. I have tried communicating with console over it with success. Here is the respond to these messages.
