| Nevermind. I went into the carrier settings changed a value, then put it back to what it was. PageGate asked me if I wanted to apply the change and chose No.
SMS started going after that. I'm going to keep an eye on it and see if it happens again. If someone has a suggestion for how to schedule a daily test message, I'd appreciate some input. |

| I'm seeing an issue where PageGate logs show that SMS alerts are going to users, but users are not getting anything on their cell phones.
Here's an excerpt from the log: 2/5/2015 11:57:23 AM ======================================== 2/5/2015 11:57:23 AM Start connection to carrier: ATT 2/5/2015 11:57:23 AM Connect using TAP protocol 2/5/2015 11:57:23 AM Setting communication parameters (9600,e,7,1) 2/5/2015 11:57:23 AM Attempting to reset modem 2/5/2015 11:57:24 AM Sent:AT<CR> 2/5/2015 11:57:25 AM Received:AT<CR><CR><LF>OK<CR><LF> 2/5/2015 11:57:25 AM Modem reset 2/5/2015 11:57:25 AM Attempting to send connector init string 2/5/2015 11:57:25 AM Sent:AT&FQ0V1X4&D2N0+MS=V32,0<CR> 2/5/2015 11:57:25 AM Received:AT&FQ0V1X4&D2N0+MS=V32,0<CR><CR><LF>OK<CR><LF> 2/5/2015 11:57:25 AM connector init string sent 2/5/2015 11:57:25 AM Dialing carrier 2/5/2015 11:57:25 AM Sent:ATDT18009094602<CR> 2/5/2015 11:57:33 AM Waiting for connection 2/5/2015 11:57:33 AM Received:ATDT18009094602<CR> 2/5/2015 11:57:56 AM Received:<CR><LF>CONNECT 9600 V42bis<CR><LF> 2/5/2015 11:57:56 AM Connected to carrier 2/5/2015 11:57:56 AM Waiting for protocol initialization 2/5/2015 11:57:57 AM Sent:<CR> 2/5/2015 11:57:58 AM Received:ID= 2/5/2015 11:57:58 AM TAP protocol detected 2/5/2015 11:57:58 AM Sent:<ESC>PG1<CR> 2/5/2015 11:57:59 AM Received:110 1.7<CR>Thank you for calling<CR><ACK><CR><ESC>[p<CR> 2/5/2015 11:57:59 AM Automatic TAP mode accepted 2/5/2015 11:57:59 AM ---------------------------------------- 2/5/2015 11:57:59 AM Working on message to: user1 from: SERVER1 2/5/2015 11:57:59 AM Formatting message 2/5/2015 11:57:59 AM Message contained in single packet 2/5/2015 11:57:59 AM Message contained in single block 2/5/2015 11:57:59 AM Sending block 2/5/2 ... |

| I'm working with sales on the get ascii module, but I'd like to ask further about this. If it's beyond the scope of this support forum, pls disregard.
We bought the PageGate $150 license. It seems to include the PG Server module, PG Admin module and PG Monitor module. But what can you do with this if there are no connectors available? I guess the question is what can I do with the basic $150 Page Gate license? |

| I'm running version 6.0.15
Windows Server 2008R2. This is happening more often than I thought. I actually just got the message (last time I had seen it was a couple of days ago). There's an initial window displaying: ======================== Loading PG Admin -- Please Wait ======================== That fails and another window shows the following message: ============================================== Excessive database errors: 3050 Could not lock file. in Procedure: main Program Halted ============================================== I checked the status of the services. They were Service name || Status || Start up type PageGate || Started || Automatic PageGateConnector1 || Started || Manual PageGate GetAscii || Started || Manual |

| In the last couple of weeks I've noticed that the PageGate service hangs.
There's nothing obvious indicating that the service failed. The only way I can see that it's not working is because I'm not getting the SMS notifications that my monitoring system passes through Pagegate. The Windows Service shows it's running ok. The monitoring interface also shows no issues. When I try to open the admin interface I get an error message (unfortunately I didn't note it down). I was expecting to find this error in the application event logs, but I only see logs of when PageGate starts. Only when I go to Services and restart will Pagegate start working ok. All the SMS messages that had been generated since whenever it crashed are sent out. Any suggestions for how to address this? Otherwise, I may have to set up a task that restarts that service daily. Kind of silly, but... |

| The alternate ATT phone number that you provided seems to have done the trick. Will test further and report IF I have issues. | |

| Ok. This looks better. It's initiating a connection but now I'm getting no response from the carrier. I'm checking with AT&T to determine if it's an issue on their end.
Btw, I see a service for PageGate Connector1 under Windows services. Do I have to set that service to start automatically given that I linked the modem to Connector1 in the application? |

| My bad. I'm using PageGate.
Ok. I'm testing with the USR again. Where's the tools > modem setting that you spoke of |

| I'm also trying with a US Robotics 5633
Both are USB modems (a little old, but device/drivers are still recognized by Windows). Note that in both cases I'm loading drivers manually from manufacturer. |

| The modem is connected on COM3. I confirmed this through Control Panel > Modems and also through device manager.
I also ran a modem scan in Note Page and confirmed that only COM3 is checked. I queried the modem using the tool available in the modem properties and I get ATQ0V1E0 Success Iit recognizes the modem type. AT#CLS=? is not supported ATI2 Success The logs in Note Page show first Sent: AT<CR> Attempting to reset modem. This loops three times. Then it tries a different command Sent: ATH0<CR> Tries three times until it reaches the attempts limit. So it looks like the modem answers when tested from Windows, but it doesn't answer when Note Page calls it. |

| Ok. It seems that the connection to carrier is started, the connection using TAP is initiated, but the logs keep displaying Attempting to reset modem. Eventually the logs display Hanging up modem.
Obviously something is going on with the modem. I'm assuming the modem is not starting or else it doesn't support this type of traffic? |

| Hi,
I have Note Page configured with AT&T Tap. I have recipients configured. I'm trying to test outgoing SMS out. Is there a tool or set of commands that I can run to test this? |

| PageGate support recommended installing the software right on the root of the drive (i.e. D:\PagGate) or at least not under Program Files (x86) folder.
Changing the installation location to D:\Pagegate worked. |
