We are a vendor for a local consolidated dispatch center which dispatches for 7 local Fire departments. They are already using your PageGate software with Nextel phones and alpha-numeric pagers. One of these departments wishes to have a large LCD monitor in their apparatus bay to display the page info as well. What I was asked for is: “A really big pager mounted right here”. Do you have a suggestions? There is a PC near the area that they want to put the monitor, they say it’s capable of 8 monitors and they only use 4. I was thinking of trying to use SMTP & Outlook, but I don’t know how we’d get the message to auto-display. And how would it clear out? Would it time stamp and just stay there. 1st in 1st out? Or is there a way we could use SMS and an instant messenger application? Or do I need to talk with Nextel or the Pager provider and do it over RF? I don’t know how I would display that.
