So both do work. I do not have a share directly to \\%servername%\wwwroot\templates\, I have one to \\%servername%\wwwroot for the Web Pages path and then navigate to templates but the save does work. My CGI Data Path is a share name of \\%servername%\scripts which goes to C:\inetpub\scripts on the PageGate server and it works as well.

But when I create a new user, the wwwroot folder is not created becuase when I select the template file name (which I do see), it says Unable to create user's webpage.

Run As Administrator or just double click, doesn't matter. Now that Admin app is installed to my workstation, it is not running off of the server. I just have all of the DBs and such pointed to the server.

So I went to \\%servername%\wwwroot, once there I navigated to the templates folder, created a test.txt, opened it, added info, saved it, then deleted it with no issue.

Unfortunately when I use UNC paths versus mapped drives, I get an Unable to create user's webpage file when trying to assign a webpage template. If I map the path, that does not happen. Also when I update a users name in the FullName field under settings, it does not update.

So I was able to find the issue and know the cause as well. I have people that are not system admins but PageGate Admins. I shared out the necessary folders for the WebPages and CGI data path and pointed their admin instance there. He has those drives mapped in a persistent state but for some reason when he PC hung over the weekend everything hung up. When I changed the Paths back to direct server paths the queued messages went out.

So my biggest issue centers back to giving a regular user admin right to PageGate. Also how to force a Synchronization so when he removes things from his Admin console, it reflects in a more timely manner in the web console.

When a page is sent via the client, all works well. When trying to use the web client the page does not go (radio does not engage either). One thing I did notice is that although I have the Wb Client Service set to Automatic, it is stopped. When I manulally start it, it runs for about 5 secs and then stops itself.

I have a Zeltron connected to my server via serial. The protocol configured is TAP. I see in the log that each pager is neing sent a message on a 2 to 3 second interval. I was unsure if there was an 'all at once' feature so if a mass page (over 100 people) needed to happen, how do I speed it up. I had one today that took 9 mins total for 128 pagers.

Currently, when a page is sent out, all of pagers receive the message inline or one at a time. Eseentially, the last person in the group of 30 gets the message 15 mins after it was actually sent as the message progresses down the line from device to device. Is there a way to have the system page all devices at once or is the a raio based constraint?

Thank you

I appreciate that but unfortunately it doesn't fit my scenario. If I have personnel with cell phones, those cell phones have an app and are receiving traditional FM signal, then I could have PageGate effectively send the page to the cell phone even though there is no cell provider. No need for additional anything is the goal.
We don't have an app that could run on the phones, no, but if the phones' hosting provider has a messaging API (SMTP, SNPP, WCTP, GET/POST, XMPP, etc), you could configure PageGate to deliver messages through it.
I appreciate the information, my intent was to still use the system should the cell network fail. Just trying to be as prepared as possible.

When setting up a new recipient from a PG Admin not on the server, when attempting to select the WebPage, I receive a message that No template files were found. Please check you settings.

When configuring the client for first use, I pointed the Program directory to the directory on my client. The Database is going to \\%servvername%\database, archive is going to \\%servername%\archive, and the logs are going to \\%servername%\logs. I have given full permissions to the file structure and the share itself.

Essentially, as it stands, I cannot change or add any data to the PageGate Web Client without logging on to the server itself and running the Admin program as admin everytime.

Thank you

FM Radio (like you car). The way I understand it is that certain cell phone models have a built in FM capability that can pick up a local radio stations.

Currently we have cell phone numbers for all individuals for regular communication as well as pagers (run by PageGate) to get notifications should cell fail. Question is, do you have an app that will run on cell phones using the FM? This would still allow for paging should cellular go down and remove one device to be carried.

Thank you.

That was it thank you. We had a permissions issue at the C:\PageGateData directory.
