| Great News! With help from this forum and Zetron, I finally got the serial connection to work. The baud rate we used was 300, however, that wan't the problem. The problem was with the connector on the multiport cable. Using the Zetron maintenance manual, we built a custom cable to fit our computer. The system came up immediately. Thanks for the help.

| I know Tech Support may not be able to answer this question, but does anyone know what the connection settings (baud, parity, stop bits, etc) for the multiport connects are for the Zetron 2100?

| Thank you much for the info. I have one last question. After connecting the PageGate server to the paging terminal, is it possible to send a test message? I am sure all of this is in the online manual, but the people I work for a the impatient types. They would probably explode if I told them I had to read the manual. Hmmmmm.... | |

| We paid for PageGate. Does it include the GetWeb module and templates? If not, how do I get information on how to order them? | |

| Well, since you are kind enough to answer, I will ask more questions. I am in no way a networking kind of guy. My networking skills stop at setting up commerical routers.
1. There is a web designer in my squadron who says he can design a web page to somehow "include" the PageGate client in it. I know I am not describing this the way he said it, but can you decrypt it enough to explain how that is possible? John |

| Tech Support,
Thanks for answering my questions. However, I am sorry, but most of the questions I asked were meant for cbaker. John |

| The PM is not working on this site, so I will post my questions with this reply. Now I have everything ready to go. My questions are many, so please forgive me if they seem basic.
1. Does the cable used to connect PageGate have to be a null modem cable or a regular serial cable? 2. We have PageGate Server on a Windows 2003 computer that will be connected to the Zetron. How does the PageGate Client fit in to all of this? 3. Do you still use ZBase to program subscriber information in your paging terminal? 4. What protocol do you use when connecting the PageGate server to your paging terminal? 5. What is the database section of PageGate server? 6. Are you the same person who emailed me at work? That is all I have for now. Thanks for your help. John |

| We are using a Zetron 2100 series paging terminal. In Page Gate's instructions, it says that the server computer should connect to the serial port of the paging terminal. Which serial port is this?
