| Aliant (New-Brunswick), but it should cover the maritimes as well.

| After going through the settings in the old AlphaMate, I was able to find the TAP number for Aliant here in New-Brunswick. I think I will call Aliant to inform them they do have a TAP line! Idiots! :)
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! |

| I initially tried using TAP, but I needed to enter a phone number for the Provider. I contacted the provider twice (Aliant) and they have absolutely no idea what TAP is or what number to give me. They keep telling me to simply dial the pager number, but if I do that I cannot send text, only numeric messages. Getting very frustrated with my provider. | |

| I'm able to send numeric messages with Notepager Pro with Tone carrier, but I haven't been able to send alphanumeric messages. If I send numbers, everything works fine, but as soon as I try sending text, all that appears on the pager is 999. The pagers work fine, they were tested with an old Alphamate unit to send text messages.
The pager model is: DavisComms Br802. Is there something that needs to be done so the provider knows its a text message instead of a numeric message? Do I need to use TAP instead of Tone? The Provier is Aliant Mobility in New-Brunswick, Canada. Any suggestions is appreciated! |
