Completely understood, OzCom, thanks for the reply...yes, the message to be transmitted to the pager would be the same numeric message that we currently transmit using a phone keypad; in this case, a phone number and a (numeric) ticket number.

How would a message have to be sent to a PageGate server so that Getmail could parse it and send the numeric contents of the message to the right pager?

I am looking at options to automate a manual paging system. Currently we manually page out a numeric message to our fleet of pagers using the phone.

The documentation for GetMail says that numeric pagers can receive a notification of a new mail, but this is not quite what I am looking for; I would like to automate the paging process so that the same numeric message that is currently sent out via the phone network could be sent in an email to PageGate, which would then send the contents of the email message to a numeric pager. Is this possible?
