I have tried putting the strings in through hyperterminal which gives the same error code (cms error: 303).

Other AT strings seem to be accepted fine, if I can't resolve it i'll have to get an older phone from ebay or something.

Hi, I am trying to send a text message through a sony ericsson, log attached below:

I have read on the web that some sony ericssons don't support the AT+ CMGF=1 command and only AT+CMGF=0 is there anything I can do to get this to work?

The carrier is vodafone and the protocol is GSMAT.
