well, my 505 database does not import into 506. could it be because my export has "505" in the first column?

In a previous post, the export format is different than the current 506 data format (i learned that the hard way)

When I upgrade the software from 505 to 506, will that convert my existing database (recipients and groups) to the the 506 format?

Im Running 505 on my main system, and I exported the data. I tried importing the data onto another PC running the 506 version and the data would not import.

The database structure is different.

maybe thats why my imports are not working, I was using what was posted in post #2.

Is there a new detailed post like #2 that i can follow? I am getting dizzy just looking at ",#FALSE#,#FALSE#,"",#FALSE#,"","","","","","","","","","","","","","","",#FALSE#,#FALSE#,#TRUE#,"",#

where is that blank value located in the string?

Your directions in post #2 put that field between ID & carrier.

"505","DAmato_Frank_Nextel","DAmato, Frank - Nextel","9175551212"," ","Nextel","240","#TRUE#","#FALSE#","999","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#",,"#FALSE#","#TRUE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#","#FALSE#"," "," "," "," "," "," "," "," "," "," "," "," "," "," "," "," ","#FALSE#"," ","#FALSE#",," ",," "," "," "," ","10:00:00 PM","8:00:00 AM"," "

Try importing and let me know if it works..

I tried importing the user table unto my database, I populated the fields with names and services, and pin numbers, then exported to text to import back to pagegate, and i got errors.

I can't just copy and paste data into the pagegate user table becase there are some users in there that are not from my main database, and I will loose them if i delete all the users prior to paste.

There are only 4 or 5 fields that need to be imported, why must we play with all 56 fields?

There has to be an easier way!
