We are a fire department and we have a need to allow individuals to sign themselves up for SMS messaging. We currently use Pagegate with our CAD system and we want to allow our staff to manage their own SMS messaging. For example, we would like to have web page they could go to and enter their cell phone number and opt in to receiving SMS messages. I believe they would have to choose a station and maybe their carrier in addition to providing thier cell phone number, but I am not sure how this information would then interact with Pagegate in order for them to begin receiving messages. Anyone have any ideas or solutions?
