Okay, I will try that. I have changed to COM1 and it has been stable for 24 hours. COM3 was using an USB to RS232 cable, so perhaps there is an issue with that driver and this modem.

This error came up when using a modem and the Gettap interface. This has only started happening after changing from the trial to the licensed version and changing the modem. Previously the modem would not answer on the first ring, so I changed from a 3Com to a Dynalink. Now it answers ok but this error appears during an incoming call.

Any ideas?

I have changed the Com Port to see if that helps.
