I'm now trying to use WCTP with Verizon and have the same problem. I'm registered with them but am receiving an error back "Invalid SenderID or Security Code". The software is putting the same '@' symbol after my SenderID. Where can I receive the updated file for NotePager that someone referred to in this post.
Thanks, Clay |

Thank you for the quick response. This information is very good. The only problem with the , as a wait function is that it doesn't wait to hear a greeting or tone before starting the delay. Please correct me if I'm wrong. My understanding of the @ wait character is that it didn't start the delay until a sound (greeting or tone or whatever) triggered it. This way you can ensure that you have connected to the carrier before sending the callback.
I'll see if we can start sending our numeric pages via TAP or some other protocol. Thanks again. Clay |

I'm having the following problem.
NotePager Pro is dialing an Arch Wireless numeric-only pager number. The NPP dialstring contains the @ symbal to wait for an answer and then wait 5 seconds before dialing the call back number. The carrier is only waiting 3-4 seconds after they answer before hanging up so the pages never go through...we're dialing the call back too late. Is there any way to change the amount of time that the @ character waits...say 3 seconds instead of 5. This would solve the issue. If not can the TAP protocol, or any of the others be used for Numeric-Only type pages or are the designed only for Alpha-Numeric devices. Thanks. |
